Malicious Cable Detection

Attack cables look exactly like ordinary USB and Lightning leads, but hide hardware that can run commands, install malware or steal data. Check cables before they reach your devices.

How it works

An ordinary-looking cable can hide a computer

A compromised USB or Lightning cable can carry a hidden microcontroller that runs commands, installs malware or sends data out once connected. WireBadger checks the cable first.

  1. 1

Plug the cable into WireBadger, using the matching connector.

  2. 2

It analyses current draw for signs of embedded hardware and scans for hidden Bluetooth or Wi-Fi components.

  3. 3

The touchscreen shows the result, with visual and audible alerts.
